ATTAIN YOUR LEVEL B – FULL TIME PROGRAM
OVERVIEW
This unique full-time training program is designed for all public servants who want to achieve a durable and sustainable Level B in French and be successful on the Second Language Examinations.
This course respects the needs of adult learners: active participation in contextually relevant, meaningful learning situations. And, with frequent start dates, you can start quickly.
Depending on your current abilities to communicate in French, you can join either the group for beginners or the one for advanced beginners. Our language assessment officer will recommend the program that best suits your abilities and to ensure that you fully benefit from the program.
Instructors: team of two experienced language-learning facilitators lead each group
Participants: maximum 6 participants per group
Schedule: new groups begin frequently
Program for Beginners
Duration: 26 weeks, full-time
Tuition: $13,162.50 ($13.50 per hour)
Program for Advanced Beginners
Duration: 16 weeks, full-time
Tuition: $8,100.00 ($13.50 per hour)

Highlights
Participants in Attain Your Level B acquire their second language skills within a solid framework using a variety of different educational tools. As their skills improve, they face the exciting challenges of making presentations and facilitating discussions in order to prepare them for these tasks in their professional environments and to succeed on the Second Language Examinations at the Level B.
- Concise explanations of grammatical rules mean that participants have a clear understanding of how the language works.
- Focused exercises on pronunciation give participants the practice they need to produce the sounds of the language correctly.
- Authentic documentation leads to the development of meaningful, professionally-relevant second language skills.
- Thematic units provide contextual language acquisition to avoid learning vocabulary, grammatical concepts etc., in a vacuum.
- Structured self-directed learning periods allow participants time to process, practice and acquire their new skills.
- Regular feedback, follow-through and evaluations mean that the participants know where they are, where they are going and how they are doing.
- Preparation for the Second Language Examinations familiarizes participants with format and demands of all three examinations.
